Press release 4Two new artists to show prints on-line |
|
Local on-line art gallery apictureofnorfolk.com has announced that it will be offering fine art prints from two new artists, after completing the signing of Paul Cozens and Ken Tidd to their list of published artists. Both of the new artists had prints on show and recorded their first print sales at the company’s highly acclaimed three day exhibition at the Forum in Norwich earlier this month. The exhibition displayed the work of 12 local artists as high quality giclée prints and artists were present throughout the event to discuss their work. “We are delighted to welcome these two talented artists and to be the publisher that sold their first prints. We can help them to publicise their work and as prints have a different price range to the original artworks, they enable the artists work to be available to a much wider audience”. comments Jonathan Ayres, co-founder of apictureofnorfolk.com. Mr Ayres continues. “Because apictureofnorfolk.com is an on-line gallery, it is open 24 hours a day and we don’t have the costs associated with a traditional gallery so we can afford to give our artists a higher share of the print’s selling price.” Ken Tidd was born and raised in Norfolk, the coastal area near his home in Brancaster Staithe provides much of the subject matter for his work. He combines his painting with bait digging along the local mudflats, giving him ample time for observing the coastal scenery. “It has been at the back of my mind for a while now to offer prints, to help me to publicise myself as an artist and to make my work available to a wider audience. Until now, this has always seemed like an expensive and complex operation, with up-front costs and requiring expertise in scanning and printing that I do not have. I am glad to join the community of artists offering their work through A Picture of Norfolk” said Ken Tidd.Paul Cozens is a self-taught artist who combines full time employment with creating about 75 original pictures each year. He paints the full variety of Norfolk’s scenery from its huge beaches and skies to scenes of city life in Norwich, and is also a keen photographer. “There are a wide range of prints available at apictureofnorfolk.com which should attract a good audience. So it is a good place for me to display my pictures. A Picture of Norfolk Ltd use the only Fine Art Trade Guild registered printer in East Anglia and the reproduction of detail and colours that they achieve is very impressive. So while they deal with all this, I am free to focus on my painting” said Paul Cozens. A Picture of Norfolk is currently running a free to enter competition where entrants can choose the picture they think will be most popular. Entry is on-line at apictureofnorfolk.com and open through to Christmas Eve. The winner will be able to choose any picture from the site as their prize. ENDSA Picture of Norfolk is an on-line art business set up to publish limited edition fine art prints of Norfolk’s landmarks and landscapes by local artists. Over 80 pictures can be browsed on apictureofnorfolk.com and the site is searchable both by location and artist. Pictures can be ordered in a choice of three sizes on either 315 gsm watercolour paper or 380 gsm stretched canvas, so customers can select the style and size of print they want, to suit their individual taste and the wall space available. Prints are made ‘on-demand’ using digital print technology, commonly called ‘giclée’ which creates high quality prints that are virtually indistinguishable from the originals and guarantees ink light-fastness for 75 years outside direct sunlight. Prints are supplied with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.
